Job Summary

A stylist provides haircuts, color services, shampoo therapy, styling, and other services to women, men, and children under leadership's direct supervision. Stylists deliver all services with an emphasis on providing a fantastic experience and building a strong base of return guests. Stylists are expected to follow all salon policies and procedures. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide Fantastic Guest Service

  • Acknowledge and greet all guests in a friendly, prompt, and courteous manner 

  • Provide thorough consultations to determine needs and provide solutions

  • Integrate product recommendations and retail sales into each service

  • Create a premier guest experience by delivering top quality haircare and attention to customer detail

  • Promote referrals and business building practices; encourage guests to return

• Uphold Excellence Standards

  • Adhere to salon dress code, including appearance standards for hair and makeup

  • Demonstrate professionalism in behavior and interactions with others at all times

  • Keep workstation and salon tidy and in compliance with salon specifications at all times

  • Maintain standards for growing a profitable salon and reducing waste

• Be a Collaborative Team Member

  • Attend all required education events and workshops

  • Complete assigned housekeeping duties; including, but not limited to, stocking and cleaning

  • Work with others in a positive and cooperative mindset

  • Participate in salon and team-related activities and events

  • Promote teamwork and demonstrate respectful behaviors at all times

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid cosmetology license for the state of Missouri

• Proficiency in the latest color, cutting, and styling techniques

•  Proficiency in the use of equipment needed to perform technical services

• Effective Communication 

• Ability to build and maintain strong guest relationships

• Independent and self-motivated
